Transformer stations and MV connections
We build, connect and then look after it. Our own designers, installers and inspection technicians, one responsible partner.
- 1Transformer station constructionKiosk and masonry 22/0.4 kV stations, refurbishments, connection of the building.
- 2MV (22 kV) connectionUnderground cable or overhead line, including negotiation with the distribution system operator.
- 3Station management and serviceInspections, thermal imaging, electrical testing and emergency call-out. Flat fee from €100 a month.
The transformer station is part of the delivery, not someone else's problem
Most commercial PV systems over 100 kWp and every larger supply point need their own transformer station or a reinforced MV connection. The distribution system operator issues the conditions, the design has to fit both the kV and the deadlines, and after commissioning the inspection intervals start running.
Design in EPLAN, negotiations with ZSD, SSD and VSD (the distribution system operators), construction, inspections and management are all done by our own people. One contract, one phone number.

Who it is for
- Industry and manufacturinga new station for PV or growing consumption, refurbishment of an old station from the 1980s
- Logistics and retailMV connection for halls, refrigeration and fleet charging
- Municipalities and facility managersstation management with documentation and deadline tracking
- Operators of PV and BESSconnection reinforcement, protection, service under contract
How we work together
- 01
Initial diagnostics
Site visit, measurements, report on condition with recommendations. For a new station, also the 15-minute load profile and reserved capacity.
- 02
Proposal and design
Sizing of the transformer and switchgear, documentation in EPLAN, connection application.
- 03
Construction by our own crews
Civil works, equipment, MV and LV interconnections, metering. LV switchboards from our own production.
- 04
Inspection and commissioning
Initial inspection and testing, preparation for the official test, as-built documentation.
- 05
Management and service
Annual inspections, thermal imaging, periodic testing, deadline tracking and emergency call-out. Optionally the 24/7 monitoring centre.
Initial transformer station diagnostics with a report
We come, measure, review the documentation and write down the condition of the station, what it is missing and when deadlines expire. You receive the report even if you order management elsewhere.
Transformer station management and maintenance
A monthly flat fee by station rating. It includes an annual inspection in operation, thermal imaging once a year, periodic inspection and testing, documentation, deadline tracking and call-outs on working days within 24 hours.
Combined with solar PV service the fee is 10 % lower (station management price list, as of 09/2026). The client remains the operator of the designated technical equipment; Energovision provides professional supervision and service.
Station management in detail| Station rating | Monthly fee | Call-out |
|---|---|---|
| up to 250 kVA | from €100 | Mon–Fri within 24 h |
| 251 to 630 kVA | from €130 | Mon–Fri within 24 h |
| 631 to 1,000 kVA | from €170 | Mon–Fri within 24 h |
| over 1,000 kVA | individual | by operation |
Standby levels with 24/7 response within 4 hours and several stations under one contract are arranged individually.
Why do it with us
Our own inspection technicians and designers
Inspection, design and engineering are done by employees. One company is responsible for deadlines and quality.
300+ systems in the 24/7 monitoring centre
We connect the station to the same monitoring centre that monitors our clients' PV systems and batteries around the clock.
In-house LV switchboard production
We build switchboards in Bratislava. We modify, extend and repair them without waiting for a supplier.
495+ projects, 34 MWp installed capacity
We know the conditions of all three distribution system operators.
One project, six services
It is rarely just one thing. On a single delivery we also handle what sits upstream and downstream in the circuit.
Questions we get asked
1How often does a transformer station need an inspection?
Inspection and testing intervals are set by vyhláška 508/2009 Z. z. according to the type of equipment and its environment. We determine the exact interval for your station during the initial diagnostics and keep records from then on. With the station management fee, we track the deadlines.
2What is the risk if a transformer station is not regularly maintained?
The operator of designated technical equipment is responsible for its condition. During a labour inspectorate check, a missing inspection report or an expired deadline means a penalty, and after a fault also a dispute with the insurer. Technically, the risk is an overheated connection, which thermal imaging reveals before it shuts down your operation.
3How quickly do you respond to a fault?
At the basic standby level, a call-out on working days within 24 hours is included in the flat fee. Higher levels with 24/7 response within 4 hours are arranged individually for your operation.
4Who is the operator of the transformer station when you manage it?
The client remains the operator of the designated technical equipment under vyhláška 508/2009 Z. z., which implements the Slovak Occupational Safety and Health Act 124/2006 Z. z. Energovision provides professional supervision, inspections, service and documentation.
5How long does it take to build a new transformer station?
What decides it is the connection date from the distribution system operator and the permitting process, not the installation itself. You receive a schedule after the initial diagnostics together with the proposal; we conduct the negotiations with ZSD, SSD or VSD.
Non-binding enquiry
Tell us whether it is a new station, an MV connection or management of an existing one. We will get back to you by the next working day with the next step, usually a date for initial diagnostics.
