Solar PV on a home pays off when it is designed by someone who then looks after it
In Slovakia 1 kWp of panels generates 950 to 1,050 kWh a year. How much of that you save depends on how much you use at home. That is why we ask about consumption, water heating, space heating and your car before the size of your roof.
Installation is done by our own crews, including the electrical inspection, grid connection and monitoring. We handle the Zelená domácnostiam subsidy (the Slovak household PV subsidy scheme) on your behalf. After the site visit you receive a quote with a fixed scope, valid for 30 days.

Consumption and roof
Send us your annual consumption and a photo of the roof. We propose the capacity, the battery and an indicative saving.

We come to look at the roof and the switchboard. You get a quote with a fixed scope, valid for 30 days.

We handle the grid connection request for you. Installation usually takes one to two days, followed by the inspection, start-up and monitoring from our control centre.

Questions we get asked
1How much will I save and what is the payback?
With a suitable design and high self-consumption, typically 8 to 10 years. What decides it is how much of the generated electricity you use at home; that is why we calculate capacity from your consumption and habits, not the size of your roof. We do not guarantee payback; we show it in an indicative calculation with your numbers.
2Does solar PV pay off at my consumption?
It makes sense from annual consumption of around 2,500 kWh. At 4,000 kWh and more the payback is very good, especially with a heat pump, air conditioning or an electric car.
3Why are you more expensive than some competitors?
We install with our own crews, we have our own electricians and inspection technicians and a monitoring centre that monitors the plant after handover. The quote includes electrical inspection, connection, monitoring and a 12-year installation warranty. Compare the scope, not just the price.
4How long does it take?
From signing to commissioning usually 5 to 9 weeks. The longest part is the response of the distribution system operator. If you want the Zelená domácnostiam contribution, we schedule installation after SIEA reserves the funds; from then there are 45 days.
5A battery or a virtual battery?
A physical battery uses surplus in the evening and during an outage; a virtual battery is an accounting product of the electricity supplier with a fee. A comparison calculated for your supplier is on the Virtual vs. physical battery page.
6Do the panels need cleaning and electrical inspections?
Cleaning depends on the environment, usually once every few years; rain washes off most dirt. We recommend inspection and testing of solar PV every 4 years, carried out by our inspection technicians.
7What are the warranties?
Panels 25 years on performance and 12 years on product, inverter 5 to 10 years depending on brand, battery 10 years, installation 12 years, mounting structure 10 years. Service response by the next working day.
