Result
Recommended capacity: 5 kWp. Annual generation: 5,250 kWh. Indicative investment: 6,500 €
With annual consumption of around 5,400 kWh, a 5 kWp system makes sense.
Annual saving
578 €
self-consumption 40 %
Panels carry a 25-year performance warranty and 12 years on the product, the inverter 5 to 10 years depending on the brand. After payback the plant keeps generating.

Indicative calculation, as of 09/2026. Actual generation depends on roof orientation and pitch, shading and daytime consumption. Payback is not a guarantee.

Questions we get asked
1How does the calculator work out system size?
From your monthly bill and electricity price it estimates annual consumption, divides it by a specific yield of 1,050 kWh per kWp and rounds to half a kWp. The result is the upper limit of a sensible size; the actual design depends on the roof and on daytime consumption.
2Why does self-consumption matter so much?
Electricity used at home saves the full price per kWh; surplus exported to the grid earns only the feed-in price. Without a battery a home typically uses 30 to 45 % of the output, with a battery 60 to 75 %.
3Is the price in the calculator binding?
No. It is an indicative price per kWp derived from typical installations. You receive a binding price with a fixed scope in the quote after a site visit, valid for 30 days.
4How is the subsidy included?
Zelená domácnostiam (the Slovak household PV subsidy scheme) contributes 500 €/kW for at most 2 kW, i.e. at most 1,000 € and at most 50 % of costs (SIEA conditions effective from 21 September 2026). The calculator uses this as a default assumption you can change. We verify the conditions before applying and can file the application on your behalf.
